“Smitten Life” is a monthly series – a photo diary giving you a glimpse of what we’re doing each month to create and live our own smitten lives! We hope you enjoy being inspired by these images as much as we do capturing them. Feel free to share your own smitten life on our Facebook and Twitter pages!
First and foremost, I got engaged in early fall! I’m the luckiest girl to get to marry a guy who’s wonderful in so many ways.
Out of sheer excitement and adrenaline, I pretty much hit the ground running with wedding planning. We chose our venue!
But the best part so far has been trying on gowns!
October was a busy month. Besides our engagement, I went on a business trip to the west coast. Portland, Oregon was beautiful!
Our layover in Arizona during our return trip was worth it just to see this photo of dusk above the clouds.
And of course, returning home to Boston was comforting under the beautiful night sky.
I was invited to a soup party, which was a great excuse to use some of the harvest from our summer garden. Butternut squash soup, anyone?
And then when November came, I turned 28! Yes, I shared my cake with this little guy (my nephew, Sylas).
My family and I went to a butterfly museum to celebrate my special day. Can you see the Monarch on my leg?
The weather turned frigid practically overnight. Good thing I bought a new mug for cocoa this season.
My flowers certainly weren’t expecting the frost. Dead flowers look like dramatic art.
Speaking of art, I took a Paint & Wine class with my coworkers. Here’s my winter scene masterpiece.
And speaking of winter scenes, we had our first snow fall in mid-November. Simply gorgeous out my window. Life is good!
