Steph’s Smitten List: Fairy Gardens, Tissue Boxes, Iced Coffee

This week I’m positively smitten with:

1. Fairy Gardens: When I first started seeing fairy gardens pop up everywhere (in stores, magazines, and garden center classes) I wondered what could be so fun about throwing a whole bunch of trinkets into a small space among flowers and other natural elements. But the more work I did in my outdoor gardens this spring, the more I became curious as to whether I could feel the same reward and enjoyment from a miniature garden, so I decided to make my own. It was such a blast to put together, and I would definitely recommend it for those who want to grow something but perhaps don’t have a lot of space or experience. Be sure to look out for an article next week on making your own fairy garden!

2. Tissue Boxes: I don’t know why it is, but I love pretty tissue boxes. I won’t go so far as to say they’re a household decoration, but I think there’s something fun about picking out a design that suits your style or fits your room – color, design, square or rectangle. Some brands, like Kleenex®, even let you design your own box! Tissue boxes have their very own spots around house, and when I open a new box – for even just a moment – it’s the center of attention in the room. It’s the little things, guys!

3. Iced Coffee: When the weather is warm and I need a pick-me-up, an iced coffee always does the trick. That or some  ice cream! Now I can have both with Dunkin’ Donuts Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavors: Cookie Dough, Jamoca® Almond Fudge, and Butter Pecan. I love them all! Then again, if you prefer to make your own cold coffee beverages, Lyndsey knows how to make a mean frozen coffee drink.
