I’m positively smitten with my nephew and niece. My nephew is only a week old but he is a calm, quiet presence, and a little miracle. We anxiously await his discharge from the prenatal intensive care unit. My niece is not yet two but I feel like she’s been my friend forever. I often wonder what I do that makes her show me so much love! I’m so fortunate to have these two little people in my life. I never knew how special I would feel to be an auntie.
I’m positively smitten with my boyfriend, Bill. He is such a constant source of happiness in my life, and absolutely a driving force when it comes to getting me through my day to day. Bill is always there for me, as a boyfriend and as a best friend, and he is absolutely, unequivocally, my biggest supporter — as well as my personal spider killer, smoothie maker, reacher-of-things-on-tall-shelves, and blanket sharer. When I’m with Bill, no matter where we are, I feel at home.
I’m positively smitten with Boston, my home away from home. I lived in Boston for six years and have many loved ones still there. The tragic bombings were too close for comfort, but I am really grateful to be able to say that my loved ones were all safe and unharmed, especially since so many people cannot say the same thing. Boston’s history is a story of resilience, and it’s citizens acted in that same spirit when faced with tragedy.
We want to hear from you now. What are you grateful for this week? Share in the comment section below!
