Dear Santa… We Present Our Christmas Lists

Dear Santa,

How are you? We can only assume you’re cold (you live in the North Pole, after all), probably feeling a little stressed (traveling to billions of homes in one night is no small feat, no matter how many times you do it!), and jolly (which we really, really appreciate).

As for us, we’re really, really hoping we made the nice list this year. We think we did everything right — we donated to charity! We held doors for people! We smiled through awkward conversations! We loved!

But, okay, given that you know if we’ve been bad or good and all, we’ll level with you, Santa. There were times when we were a little naughty, too. Like when we left work a few minutes before 5 o’clock. Or when we spent a little more on new clothes than we were supposed to. Or when we gossiped about people we shouldn’t have. But we didn’t mean to do it, we swear. We’re sorry, and we promise to be really good next year to make up for it!

Either way, we appreciate all of your hard work. You’re great. Super dedicated, and red is totally your color.

With that, we leave you our Christmas lists. Thanks for all you do, Santa. Please give Mrs. Claus and the reindeer our love!

xoxo,

Crystal and Steph

P.S. What’s on your Christmas list, Santa?

Why it’s on my list: I make mistakes all the time, and I’m constantly stressing about my career. I’d love to read this book, edited by Jessica Bacal, called Mistakes I Made at Work: 25 Influential Women Reflect on What They Got Out of Getting It Wrong. It features essays from some really smart, career-driven women, and the mistakes they’ve made. Yes please!

3.) Personalized Wood Cutting Board

Personalized Tablet Stand, Etsy.com, $19.99

Why it’s on my list: While staying at Steph’s house a few weeks back, I fell in love with her recipe holder! It helped make the kitchen feel like “home.” As I tend to get my recipes online these days, I’d love a place to stick my Kindle so it’ll be out of harm’s way, but still easy enough for me to use while cooking.

Where to get it: Etsy.com starting at $19.99

Where to get it: Amazon.com for $16.57

3.) Cooking Classes

Cooking With Rico, price varies

Williams-Sonoma Cooking Classes, price varies

Why it’s on my list: I can’t get enough of being in my kitchen, yet I feel like a fish out of water sometimes. Though I’m slowly getting better, a pro needs to step in!
