This week: I’m positively smitten with…
1. Christmas in July: How did I not know this was a thing? I love Christmas in December, when I spend most of the season engulfed in family traditions and merriment. And as much as I love summer – and all the seasons – I look forward to the Christmas holiday all year round. I bet some people are rolling their eyes, but others might be just as crazy! I’m not about to go string my lights and play carols, but these Christmas in July party ideas are adorable.
2. Letter-Writing: It seems like there’s absolutely no time to hand write notes and cards, especially when texting, emailing, or calling are so much easier. Even so, I make sure to send a couple out to my favorite people every few months. In fact, I find that if I keep my pretty stationary visible, I’m more likely to send a good old fashioned “thinking of you”. Looking for motivation to send something snail mail in this high-tech world? Check out these clever reasons to bring letter-writing back.
3. Mason Jars: There’s something charming about a mason jar; maybe it’s the glass or the old-fashioned look, or simply the fact that they can be functional and decorative. Surely you’ve got a few collecting dust in a cupboard in your home. Go ahead and take it out to give one of these easy mason jar ideas a try. Numbers 16, 17 and 27 are my favorites but I really love them all!
